New obstacles in the gym!

Over this winter and spring, we've gotten several new cliffhangers in the gym! It's a great time to work on your technique, and your grip strength. Here are some tips from coach JB down at Ninja Nation Frisco :

What to expect at Ninja Night

Run a Ninja Course in a Fun, Low Pressure Environment

We hold Ninja Nights every Thursday. They're a perfect chance to try a ninja warrior obstacle course without the pressure of a competition!

We divide Ninja Night into four age groups: Junior (5-7), Preteen (8-12), Teen (13-17), and Adult (17+) . We run two age groups at a time, each on their own course. Our coaches build new courses every week, so their's always something new and exciting at Ninja Night!

You'll want to be at the gym from the start of your hour-and-a-half time slot for Ninja Night. The coaches will give you some warmup time, and show you the course. Just like a competition, this first walkthrough is the best time to ask any rules questions. If anything on the course is confusing, our coaches can clear it up. That's what the walkthrough is for!

Unlike a competition, you'll get a chance to practice the course. The coaches will help you figure out the techniques that work for you on the obstacles. Then you'll get to try to execute on your run! Once everyone has run the course, you'll have more practice time, and then a second run to try to clear any obstacles you missed, beat your time, and try new techniques on the obstacles.

Our coaches will be there for you on every run. They'll spot you, help you if you need it, and support you. Running courses is a great way to build confidence for competitions as well as skills, and our coaches are great at helping you get in the mindset for success on the course!

At the end of the night, we'll have a podium, but ninja night isn't just about getting the top time. It's about running the course as well as you can, trying new things, and beating your first time.

Ninja Nation's most Ninja Class!

A ll of Ninja Nation's classes are designed to bring out a ninja's full potential. They're for the beginner looking to learn the basics to play and train safely, and for intermediate and seasoned athletes looking to develop their current skill set and take their abilities to the next level.

Our skills class is focused on ninja warrior-specific te chniques. Coaches break down ninja obstacles and challenges providing a space with feedback and spotting to give students confidence with movements unique to ninja warrior.

Class starts with a warmup, with stretches and exercises to get the body moving and ready to work. Then, the class will work on three or four ninja obstacles or skills, like the salmon ladder, warped wall, wing nuts, or whatever the coach wants to challenge you with!

Sometimes class will in clue conditioning, or sometimes the challenges will be enough of a workout. Either way, class ends with a cool down and stretching.

Elite Ninja Training

An offering for our Elite Ninjas

E lite Ninja Training is a new offering that started this winter! This is a time after our regular hours for our most serious ninjas to get in some training. We will set up obstacles and challenges more difficult that what you’ll find in regular open gym. To participate, ninjas must be 13 or older, and must compete up a division or in the elite or pro divisions in competitions.

O ur coaches use elite nights to train for American Ninja Warrior and for big upcoming competitions, like NNL and UNAA regionals and finals. Many of our Elite Training participants are veterans of American Ninja Warrior and American Ninja Warrior Junior. If you’ve been called for the show or you want to train like it, Elite Ninja Training is the night for you.

A coach will often set up a course just like one from whatever competitions are coming up, to get as prepared as possible. This is also the time to try the toughest challenges we have. Everyone at Elite Training should be ready to push themselves, have fun, and train hard!

We have Elite Training nights every other Thursday, after Ninja Nights.

Ninja Nation Grand Opening

Saturday, June 30, 2018 - We held the Grand Opening of our first Ninja Nation location in Lafayette, CO.

We were overjoyed and overwhelmed with the 2500 people who showed up to celebrate with us. The opening featured a Ninja Showcase with Ninja Nation's own Geoff Britten, Brian Arnold, Jamie Rahn, Ryan Stratis, and Rian McLean as well as guest Ninjas Rachael Goldstein, Adam Rayl, Austin Grey, and Barclay Stockett. We even had surprise appearances by Rocky the Denver Nuggets mascot and Chip the Buffalo from the University of Colorado in Boulder.

We had a blast and we hope you did too. Thank you to all of you who came out to support us in our Grand Opening and for having fun experiencing our world-class obstacle course arena.
